JeanPageIONL: April 2006 Today is Tuesday--August 1, 2006--12:43am--I read on the internet the advice a dad gave his son about choosing a wife-- He said "I reckon you can't go far wrong if you choose a wife like your mother."--Keep my commandments and live: and my law as the apple of thy eye. --Proverbs 7:2--I'm thankful for another day. I'm thankful that I know the Lord has saved me. I was 16 in a church Revival in August--While singing along with the church the invitation hymns, I felt a desire to just lay my songbook on the pew and go towards the altar in the front of the church--Right then a friend went in front of me going to the altar--And then...the words came to me ...You just want to go because she went--the next words a few minutes later were--It's just Thursday night. There are 2 more nights of Revival--The next words were--You know your cousins are here and will tell "your daddy' that you got saved--Awhile later the words were--You have chewing gum. Go outside and throw it away first...But I was walking on my way to the front of the church--I just kept walking toward the altar this time. and prayed at the front bench on the right as the altar was full. Looking back--I know that was the devil talking to me--when I kept "hesitating"-- GOD IS GREATER THAN THE DEVIL. To know You are saved is the greatest Peace and Happiness a person can have. I hope all who read this will start going to church and reading and meditating on the words in the Bible...for they are life giving to all who believe on the Lord. --John 3:16--I love the hymn THE OLD ACCOUNT WAS SETTLED LONG AGO--A Quotation I remembered today is "If you think you can or you think you can't ~ you're right.--I'll add this last Bible verse--"As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. ~~~ 'Till next time ~ Owita
